good news
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” - Romans 1:16
Our mission is “to show the compassion of Christ to North Koreans and their children.” That compassion comes in many forms, but the greatest act of compassion we strive for, day in and day out, is to secure their eternities.
It is our great joy to share the good news of Christ with North Koreans who come into our shelter or community classes. Salvation does not come any other way.
This great joy is multiplied when we hear the exciting news that someone under our care has embraced the call from Jesus. In their suffering and hardship, they've made Jesus their Lord, king and savior.
In Luke 15, Jesus tells a parable of a woman who had lost a precious coin. She turns her house upside down in search of this coin, and in finding it, she alerts her friends and neighbors, saying:
‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ - Luke 15:9b
rejoice with those who rejoice
When we bear witness to someone giving their lives to Jesus, this same joy fills our hearts. This is why the work of caring for North Korean refugees matters.
Good news, the gospel, is the focus for this year’s Giving Tuesday. Our goal this Giving Tuesday is to raise $45,000 to continue to provide care and to share the good news of Jesus with North Korean refugees.
Through our women’s shelter, community classes, retreats, special events, and other ways of spending time with refugees give us opportunities to be Christ and share his good news.
your support will ensure this work continues in the months and years ahead
Giving Tuesday is on December 3, 2024.
You can support our “Good News” initiative from now until Monday, December 9th.
